This
preserve is located on the east side of
Indianapolis in Marion County, at the corner of
42nd Street and Mitthoeffer Road. This 9 acre
floodplain forest is named after its donor, Mr.
Gene B. Glick, an Indianapolis businessman. The
property provides valuable greenspace for the
area's residents, and is home to a variety of
wildlife including muskrat, beaver, great blue
heron, mallard ducks, and songbirds.
Currently
this preserve does not have a trail, however students from the John
Marshal Middle School are working to design and build an
interpretive trail on the site.
Parking is available in a small lot on 42nd
street. Click
